Our goal is make art affordable, accessible, and a part of the objects found in daily life. Lucky Space Monkey was born in 2000 when designer Sarah Chase stumbled onto a history of the circus, "I dreamed of running away with the circus. The designs became the souvenirs of different places the circus went and part of their stories."
Lucky Space Monkey is a line of clothing and accessories that include t-shirts, handbags, wallets, and monkey pillows. Sewing since she was 8 years old, Sarah Chase is the owner and principle designer. She is also a painter, and the images on the t-shirts are inspired by her paintings. The designs draw upon imagery of the circus, exotic animals, urban myths, and flotsam and jetsam.
